Speaking Program: Crowdsourcing
Crowdsourcing is the outsourcing of a project or initiative using one or more digitally connected devices to a group of people to get something done. In the current global context, it is a leading force behind transformative movements like the Arab Spring and the underpinning tool of the emerging multi-billion dollar crowdfunding industry.
This form of engagement has tremendous potential in the political and corporate worlds and has led to the rapid expansion of fields such as: crowdfunding, citizen science, smart cities and the Internet of Things. What’s more, crowdsourcing can empower and connect citizens, accelerate technological advancements, enhance open innovation, offer solutions to tackle climate change and of course, can be leveraged for financing businesses and projects.
As a thought leader in the field, Giovanna has contributed to the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting in Davos and other key conferences and events as a panelist, keynote speaker and workshop host. In this context, she offers expertise to audiences of all size with targeted case studies and success stories to drive actionable, real-world results.
